On the occasion of the Nineteenth Giornata del Contemporaneo promoted by AMACI, Peola Simondi Gallery presents Mushrooms redesign the world, a dialogue between art and science featuring Laura Pugno and Samuele Voyron, a research technician from the Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology (DBios) at the University of Turin. The discussion will explore the world of mushrooms, with a particular focus on their metabolic properties, which allow them to break down and recycle waste materials such as lignin, crude oil, polyurethane, and even trinitrotoluene (TNT).
During the talk, the exhibition catalog for SYMBIOSIS. The Interconnected Threads of Fungi will be available.

AMACI - Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museum is a non-profit association that today brings together twenty-four of the most prestigious italian museums.
